How do I stain or paint a white glass bowl light fixture to tea stain

The glass bowl on my light fixture is stark white but I need to somehow stain or paint it to look the more tea stained color to match ceiling fans. I already tried soaking it in tea bags and water but didn’t absorb (didn’t think it would). I’m thinking some type of stain or watered down paint????? Anyone have any experience with something like this?

I did one years ago using a Walmart $1 metallic gold paint. Used my fingers to "smear" it lightly on. I kept putting a little more on until I was satisfied with the result.

Watered down paint would not be translucent so that would not be my choise. I would look for stained glass paint at a craft store.

Try antiquing medium. Watered down. Try dipping a paper towel and dabbing or wiping softly
