Coffee grounds are great for tomatoes!
We use coffee grounds without any problems except maybe too many tomatoes
You'd need a ton of grounds to cause real problems with your acidic lovely plants and veggies. It's a good way to get rid of the grounds. Spread around any of your other plants that could use a boost.
I‘be never had a problem with coffee grounds, though usually I put them in my compost container first, either by themselves or with the rest of my compostables
I put my coffee grounds around most of my plants/vegetables particularly those that are acid loving - and while I'm not sure, I think it may also keep snakes away from them.
