Have you done Himmeli before? Traditional Himmeli is a Christmas decoration.
Making a Himmeli may seem difficult but it is not.
If I can, then you can too! Feel free to experiment. The materials you need for Himmeli are not expensive. Drinking straws, wood beads and metal wire can be found in almost every craft store. Are you ready to try?icon
My Himmeli became a pretty modern version. As a beginner, I chose the easy do patterns.

I added to my Himmeli wood beads they give a modern look for Himmeli. In one part I also used glass straws.
Here you can see the accessories you need "diamond". A large "diamond" is made of all long and half-length drinking straws. The smaller "diamonds" are made of half and
half of the half straws.
1. Long + short + long thread to thread and bend over.
You should try to get as tight as possible so you get a coolest end result.
Like this.
2. Add again long + short and swirled closed.
3. Add long + long and closed.
4. Short + long, and close.
5. Long. Put the wire again through a straw. Closed.
6. to 7. is added  a long and tighten it.
8. Short and close.

By glass straws, do you mean 'clear' straws?? WHo would want to mess w/glass?

Also, what do you mean by "closed"? DO you mean bend to close?

A bit off topic, but did you make that darling iPad stand? I would love the instructions and pictures.

I love this, it's so lovely that you could leave it up all year. I must admit that I read "drinking straws, wine, glass straws" at first. Ha, uh, read that again? Yes, wire!

Kiitos! What a great idea, love it! I miss the "original" himmeli so I will try this instead. 🇫🇮
