you may need a scoring tool and the solution that helps loosen the glue and a scraper.

  • Steam it off, rent the steamer and scoring tool from a hardware or home improvement store. And score, score score till your arms want to fall off.

Score the wallpaper with a sharp knife or box cutter. Don’t go deep enough to carve the wall, just enough to make hand-sized pieces of wallpaper. Spray the wallpaper with warm sudsy water. Allow it to soak in a few minutes, then start pulling off the pieces. Use an old credit card to scrap beneath sticky pieces. Use a hard bristle brush or scrubbing brush to get off more stubborn pieces. Respray the paper if it gets dry. After you get all the wallpaper off clean the residue of glue off the wall with a scrubbing brush. Wipe it down and paint as you wish. Best wishes 😇

put fabric softener in a spray bottle with hot water. Score it here and there. It removes better than anything and is eco friendly ! I get sick from the smell of most chemicals. Spray it and let it sit for a few minutes. It will scrape right off. Use as much spray as needed.

When we lived in England we used to use a large paint brush and wet the paper then use a scraper to peel it all off. That was when you had to paste the wallpaper first. It might still work on pre- pasted paper. Good luck Hazel Australia.
