Call your city or town government waste management department. They will be able to tell you options for your area.
You can let small amounts just dry out in an open can then toss it in with your garbage. You can also take it to your town recycling center where others can pick up half-gone cans of palnts for free to complete projects.
I advertize on the yard sale site for free. Someone always wants it.
Fill the can with sand or kitty litter and put in trash or take to a recycling center.
If it is old and can has rusted, take lid off and let it sit for several days until it has hardened and you can then put in the trash. This was from our trash hauler.
Call your local waste management company. I Donated my leftover paints to a local church group and to a PTA organization. They were able to use them for signs, stage props for children’s productions, etc.
