Can A DIYer with little experience put a shower door on a tub?

I am not all that handy but we want to replace the shower curtain with a door. Is this something I could handle?

You can find instructions to do just about anything on YouTube.com. That is what we do to do things we know nothing about

yes, go to a local big box store and ask for their help in doing the job they will tell you everything you need to know and also youtube.com is an excellent choice for videos to show you how to do this job

My husband and I did it, just following the directions, it takes two because of the weight of the doors, but the frame went on easily.

You might want to consider how much harder the tub will be to clean.

Do you mean like a sliding door enclosure for the shower? These are very hard to keep clean. Most people who have had them are now removing them.

Karen I don't know how handy you are with tools, But what I would do is go into Y tube . Enter your question and when shower , or such a thing comes up scroll until a article deals with the likes. Usually there are videos explaining procedures for the such. I have repaired my washer, my garden tractor, fertilizing andlawn care, what ever this way. Even mounted a trailer hitch to my Honda CRV for towing light loads thus making it possible to only have one vehicle for all jobs. I have 11 acres of pasture lands and a very large landscaped yard. Do most of my own work. Have accomplished a lot this way. Hope this helps. I rely on Y Tube and Repair Clinic for every thing before I call in for help. Elayne

its possible if you have the proper tools you can. But if you don't it might be costly to buy all the tools you need to complete the task.

It should be possible if you find the shower door you would like. Ask to be able to read the instructions before you buy, or Ring-Write to the Manufacturer and ask for a copy of instruction........

Johnavallance82 has a good idea! They may even have instructions online so you won't have to wait for them to mail it. There's also the possibility that they might charge you if you haven't purchased the item yet. Call and ask if the have the instructions online. Then you can decide if you think you have the tools, etc. that you'll need.
