How do get sticky label residue off clothes?

Bought a T-shirt with a sticky size label on it and when I removed it, it left the sticky glue on the shirt. The label must have got extra hot and the glue melted makeing it stick on the shirt.
I’ve tried ice, water, washing and stain remover. Any other ideas?

Have you tried hair spray, or goof off. They work well on many things.

Can you wash it in hot water and detergent? It may shrink. Or, take it back to the store and exchange it.

Try Goo Off or WD-40. Put it on and let it sit for a little while, then rewash. You could also try rubbing alcohol. Just dampen a rag with the alcohol and rub gently. Good luck!

Rubbing alcohol will take it off. Use a cotton ball and dab at it. WD40 may do the trick too. The trick to that is to spray the WD40 on a cloth, not the garment. Again, dab at it.
