How do you prevent paint from coming off of plastic when repainted?

have painted plastic cart but paint comes off--- have cleaned the surface, primed, ad painted with plastic paint but still doesn't last

    Use spray paint for plastic.

      thank you for answering. I did use Krylon paint that says it is for plastic, but it comes off anyway

    Have you tried sealing it with clearc

    Use Rustoleum or Krylon spray paint,applying tow light coats allowing it to dry in between,once completely dry seal it with a clear spray sealer

    First you need to sand the surface so that it is not smooth and slick. Use a fine grit paper. You do not want to feel that it is rough though. Second make sure you are using paint made for painting plastic. Good luck

      I’ve been a painter and decorator for over 40 years and I’ve painted plastic windows and doors I use a product called B Dec never had a problem

    Use ESP primer first........

    NO PRIMER! The plastic paint actually melts and bonds with the plastic on a molecular level. Several light coats as with any spray paint.
