Dollar Store Quick and Easy Snow Globes
I absolutely love snow globes. When shaking them I get lost in the snow covered scene and the joy it brings for both children and adults alike. Also, being from Florida this is the closest thing I'll get to snow anytime soon. With this Dollar Store Quick and Easy Snow Globe you too can have your very own snow globe. These are great for gifts or a personalized touch to your holiday decor. The best part is it only cost $4 and less than 30 minutes to make including drying time!
First gather all of your supplies from the dollar store, including a square of white felt and a hot glue gun. I also spray painted the pillar candle holder as it was originally black and that just wouldn't work for my holiday decor.
Using a pen, trace out the opening of the glass votive holder onto the white felt square and then cut it out. This will be your "snowy" base that your ornament and the glass will adhere to.
Hot glue the felt to the top of the pillar candle and then glue the ornament in the middle of the felt. Fill your glass votive holder 1/4 of the way with the faux snow. You will then hot glue the glass votive to the pillar holder.
Ta da! Here is the final product of the snow globes. I absolutely love the holiday whimsy they bring and no one will guess they were so easy and budget friendly to make!
