there is a paint on lawyer you can get at Ollieโs. Very reasonable
Go to HD or Lowes or Walmart and get some lacquer. Those little name brand jars of paint and poly can get rather pricey.
Try minwax polycrylic in the sheen of your choice...I used that on my kitchen cabinets..,seems to be holding up fairly well
I echo Holly's advice and would be hesitant of putting lacquer over other paint. Lacquer uses solvents that will soften enamel paints and give a wrinkle finish. Generally this is not desirable.
