dont laugh...depending on your window size...I found a pair of towels extra large..got clip rings. You squize the ring and little grabbers grab the fabric...then I slid then on a tension rod in the window.

no quick answer to this as there are a ton of options when making curtains....ie rod pockets, grommets, pleats...fixed or functional, long or short, sewn or no....can you clarify what you are envisioning?
