    What a great entrance!

    1. How about making a holiday chandelier? Take 4 hangers (you can use wire or plastic) remove the curved part and put the straight sides together. Wire or tape together. Use false garland and wire or glue to the triangles. Add cones or whatever. Put ball of battery operated lights inside. Hang from fishing line (or ribbon) to ceiling with Command hook.
    2. Put false poinsettias in your pots with your existing plants.
    3. Drape your bench with more garland and bows. Put battery operated lights on your little trees.
    4. Use wrapping paper and make your front door a giant package. Tape the paper around the door. Offset an extra large ribbon and attach a big bow.

You can use whites, reds, pinks, blues, silver, gold etc. or make it all solid one color by spray painting the garland and anything else you use. Good luck!

  • My goodness, you certainly have a wonderful space to decorate! I would use fresh pine garland around the door frame and that octagonal window accented with either red or gold bows (or whatever color you like); perhaps sit a snowman on the bench. So many ideas but not sure what your budget is.

That really is a great area to do outdoor decorating.

Yes, a great space! Do hope you'll post 'after' pics when you've decorated it!

A splash of color, bright bows on fresh green wreaths, mini lights in garlands around bench. Ideas already given are fantastic! Let us know how it turns out!

I like more "classic" decorations for Christmas, so I would suggest: a wreath for the door. Move the small potted plants to the front of the porch on either side. Remove the other small things for Xmas. Scootch the bench over to the door and put wrapped fake presents on it. Get a tree for the corner and add lights and/or decorations to it. You do have a nice porch to decorate.

    Nope...

The door is not centered so give the bench closer to the door, add an old sled in the corner with a bit of greenery and a bow.

Toss an old pair of ice skates on the arm of the bench. Add the wreath to the wall next to the window or better just a group of greens with another pretty bow.

Garland around the door with plastic balls or rustic pine cones.

Place some packages wrapped and stacked (use the fake gifts or a wrap with a coating so they will last) to the right of the door.

Toss a wool throw and a festive pillow on the bench.

Keep the rest of the front empty for shoveling off snow.

Then if it looks light, use a few more packages around the sled tucked slightly under the bench.

Now I wish I had the energy to get mine done!

Can I give the ideas and someone come help me make them come alive like I used to?

Love it! Question: Do you have little lights on your potted plants? What a cute entry-way to your home! Hope you won't mind one small idea, a small throw pillow ( or two ) for the bench, to make it extra comfy for holiday guests. Like Santa!

Thanks for posting as I think we all love to see Before AND After photos. Great job!

I would go simple and Classic...remove everything but the bench. Put a plaid or knitted throw blanket on the bench and a plain evergreen wreath with a single bow to match the throw blanket on the door. Use a spotlight on the "simple and Classic" scene.

Remove everything except the mat at the door, put a winter wreath on the door, move the bench to the other wall and stack wrapped faux presents on it, and put a 6ft faux Christmas tree with lights (no ornaments) in front of the wall where the bench used to be.

Go Hampton style, it looks a bit nautical already.

You do have a wonderful space to work with. I'd move the bench over closer to the door. Then I'd set a fake Christmas tree in that corner and decorate it up!!! Maybe even put a wreath around that little octogan window . Make some fake wooden presents use 4x4 cut at different heights and paint however. It will look wonderful whatever you do I am sure. You could also make a pallet tree for the corner if a fake tree is out of your budget. Good luck. šŸ˜ Keep up posted! I wanna see what you do! Thanks! No pressure....lol
