Potted mum plants

I have brought my mums inside in their pots. How do I care for mums over the winter? They look dry and dead, but I've been told they're just dormant.

I cut mine back and plant them in the spring.

Good luck, my mums purchased at big box hardware stores don't seem to care to return, I think some mums are meant for one season other varieties —do come back.
You should not have brought them inside. Perennials mums need to be kept outdoors.For the future plant them in the ground ,so next season they will return
I don't. I keep them in my basement where it's cool. You can wait until spring to cut them back, but, I find them too messy that way, dropping stuff all over.
