Need to change the spout on my vanity basin.

My problem is that in order to unscrew the spout it hits the tile behind the vanity. How do I unscrew the spout and screw on the new spout?

You might have to saw of part of the spout in order to remove it.

There should be a nut or screw under the sink that tightens and loosens the spout. It's does not unscrew from the top.

I was going to say the same thing William did...check under the sink...very carefully...with lots of light. A screw or a nut probably won't be highly visable. Also...if you had been loosening the faucet, double check underneath to be sure it isn't leaking. Good luck!

spend a few bucks at a hardware store and buy the "plumbers wrench" to remove the nut underneath your spout (accessible inside your vanity). It will save you an hour of frustration and cussing !
