POST CHALLENGE ( FOR CARDBOARD )

Ive been wanting to make a fabric covered box. So when this Post Challenge came up for making something out of cardboard it was perfect. Ive never made one before, so I was a little hesitant. Im not the greatest at measuring. So I just ran with it, I already had the fabric and got busy. Its made out of a shoe box, nothing fancy or anything, just something to store small things in. One mistake I did make, I put decoupage on the outside of the box. Then I realized it was right to just glue the fabric to the box, and not the fabric on the surface. This is what i did to the lid, and it turned out right.
This is the supplies I used, I used mat decoupage, but I guess its all what you prefer. Glossy could be used.
This is the process of me glueging the fabric onto the box. First I had to lay out the piece of fabric. Then I cut it the way I thought it would cover most of the box. And then I cut extra pieces of fabric to cover the parts of the box that the fabric didn't cover.
This is the process of me sizing up the fabric for the lid. Then I cut the fabric to glue it on. Last piece was separate to cover the inside of the lid. The Top picture is the fabric glued to the lid, and thats finished.
THIS IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT
