Use a blow dryer to soften up the glue on the sticker. Or purchase Goo Gone

Try Goo-Gone or WD-40. Give it time to work, then gently rub it off along with the glue. Repeat if necessary. Wishing you the best.

Both Goop-Off or Oops! work equally well. You can find this stuff in the paint dept of walmart or lowes or home depot. The key is to saruarate the sticky area well, and then w a i t .....(wait several minutes) and let it actually do it's work before removing it. You may have to apply it, wait, remove with paper towel, and then apply again to remove all residue. Then, when all sticky stuff is gone, wash surface well with dish soap and hot water. This will remove the cleaner film and it's odor from the surface. As long as there is a finish or top coat of shellac, varnish or poly on the wood you should be good there. Most wooden furniture items are protected so that the surface can be cleaned. Do a test spot on the bottom or back of the lamp first to make sure the cleaner won't dull the finish on the wood
