I have one, too. I'm wondering if the spray paint made for plastic--Krylon Fusion or Rustoleum for plastic--will work.

Use a paint made for plastic and resin. A paint that is acrylic-based is typically a good choice, as it's a latex-based paint. Use a brush to apply the paint, starting with the main coat or shading coat. Wait for one coat of paint to dry before adding another coat or different color.

I’ve used the paint that’s used for painting ceramics and used the gloss varnish for ceramics as a top coat to make it shinny and protect the paint. So far it’s held up good on the little outside decoratiins I’ve bought at stores like bears, raccoons, etc. I plan on useibg it on my bird bath as well that has some detail of deferent animals designed into the bird bath. May be a choice for you to try?

I have painted several. Scrub them really well, use steel wool pads. Let dry overnight. I use good quality craft paint (Form Michaels Craft Store) . Follow the lines, and mix shades if you can. Let dry. Place in sun on an old plastic shower curtain. Spray with mat or shiny (as to your preference) poly urethane spray paint (from the hardware store / Home depot) . Do a few coats of this spray. Let dry well between coats. They will last several years. Will last longer of you bring them in over the winter. I also spray them with this spray when they are brand new.

How do you take the enamel paint off. It’s peeling off my large frog. Want to get him to look new. Thanks

Use a good quality spray paint made for plastic. Clean with a wire brush before you spray, and you should be good to go!
