I would install an awning outdoors to redirect the rainfall away from the screen.

If the rain is coming in only around the door, do you have a sill under the door? I can't tell by your picture. You can buy a rubber sealant kit to put around the rest of your door. If water is coming in any other place, I'd caulk every hole and crack.

We bought a house where the owners did something similar but used corrugated plastic over the windows instead. Very ugly. We plan on putting in new windows to have the option of screens or windows to make a sunroom. Maybe that would work for you. I like the awnings idea, too.

Roll up clear vinyl shades on outside might solve your problem.

If water puddles outside the door and then seaps in, you could try installing a French drain right outside the door. An overhang or at least gutters would help redirect some water, but you definitely need a threshhold of some sort to help seal the bottom.
