How can I reduce the slipperiness of my tile floor?

My ‘travertine’ like ceramic tile is laid in the house and on the patio, but is extremely slippery when wet. How Can I reduce risk slipping?

    Use a rubber backed area rug. Wipe up spills immediately.

    There is product on the market which you apply with a roller to dull the surface. Check at your paint store.

    I used InvisaTread. A liquid you can buy at Home Depot or probably other hardware stores. Used this after breaking my leg slipping on my tile floor!

      Been there, done that. And, not to one up you, but also fell another time (different house) dislocating my hip. Any tile or smooth flooring surface makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

    @Johnsarat. Thanks for the tip about InvisaTread. We too have very smooth tile in the house we just bought. The entryway and guest bathroom are extremely slick when your shoes/feet are damp or if there is any moisture in the air. We knew there had to be a product out there to keep everyone safe!!!!

    Check out a spray called anti slip

    It doesn't change the color of anything, great for outdoors on decks.
