Two-Toned Kitchen Cabinets Are the Best of Both Worlds

The hottest trend in kitchen decor right now is two-toned cabinets. By painting the lower cabinets a color and the top cabinets white (or visa-versa), you can add a pop of color to your kitchen without overwhelming the room.
We've gathered our favorite examples of two-toned kitchens below. To see more two-toned inspiration, visit the National Builder Supply blog: http://www.nationalbuildersupply.com/blog/home-trends/trend-watch-two-toned-kitchen-cabinets/

Not positive, but the light blue looks exactly like the color I used in my last kitchen remodel. Mine was called Sea Salt- by Sherwin Williams

Teresa B, I think that would be great! A few pops of a favorite color that can be changed out as whim dictates would make it easy to redecorate. I am struggling with what to do for my brother's kitchen, which I inherited. He made the casing and stiles of the base cabinets in quarter/rift sawn oak (expensive to do), but no doors or drawers, and the uppers are made from siding and just awful. If I buy premade cabinets and just use the doors and drawers for the missing ones on the base cabinets, should I stain them to match? And I was thinking of black or gray uppers and a black accent for the base cabinets. The island has white tile on the top. Or perhaps the doors and drawer fronts in black and the rest of the framework in oak varnished.

I like the idea of gingham, but maybe a cream and black instead, with the pops of red. his house was done in navy and turquoise, but maybe in that case I should do the drawer and door fronts in Navy or the turquoise?

The navy and white one is the only one I like.
