This is my "Light It UP" project. I love these challenges. It sparks me to look at what I have and discover how it can meet the challenge.
My passion is upcycling, so as you might imagine my basement is filled with glass jars & bottles, tin cans, pallet wood, wine bottles...you name it, I probably have it!
The project I am going to share with you today, is actually a project from last Christmas that I feel is worthy of recreating. It is simple, easy and would make a great hostess gift. So here we go:
These are the materials that I gathered for this challenge:

For me, the hardest part of this project is removing the darn label from these bottles (which you can see was already done). These came off with little effort and I used GOO BE GONE to wipe off the residual adhesive.
Next, I decorated the bottles with self adhesive craft foam letters and shapes (these are the peel and stick kind) How much or how little decorating, depends entirely on your taste, and patience.
Next, I glued the original screw caps upside down on the opening, to hold the tea lights.
Now we are ready for paint. One was sprayed gold, the second off white, and the third silver. Take your time here, so you don't get drips.
I had gotten this ceramic tray after Thanksgiving for $1.29 at my favorite supermarket. It worked perfectly as a vessel for this project.
Added my battery operated tea lights which I had gotten from the $$ Store
And there you have it! My "Light It Up" challenge project.
Happy crafting everyone!
