If it's ceramic or porcelain or glass see above about painting on glass.
Acrylic paint will wash off. Oil paint, after drying thoroughly about 8 hrs. will not wash off but will wear off from people walking on it.
I see painting and floor and know whatever you do will wear off just as Helen has said. It just won’t last if people are walking on it. Same holds true if the elements get to it, rain, sun and such.
