Wine Bottle Christmas Tree Craft

I love crafts that involve reuse or upcycling so I used an empty wine bottle as the basis for this surprising classy wine bottle Christmas tree!
First I gathered up my supplies. I just grabbed a wine bottle from the recycling bin and I had this funky tinsel rope that formed the basis of the Christmas tree. Then I looked in my Christmas tree decorations boxes for small left overs that I probably wouldn't use this year.
I thought the wine bottle provided a fun, sturdy base to become a tree.  I wrapped my tinsel garland around the bottle and it was a pretty perfect fit but you can always trim it if need be. I put a little squeeze of glue on the side of the glass bottle near the base.  I then held one of the ends of the tinsel rope garland to the glue and let it dry. Then, I just kept wrapping the tinsel rope garland around the bottle and adding a drop of Krazy glue every now and then to secure it in place.
The whole glass bottle wrapping phase of the craft is very easy but you need to add a little extra care and a few extra drops of Krazy Glue as you approach the smaller rounded portion of the bottle and the top.
Then I just cut a star out of cardstock paper and glued it atop the tree. I used little sparkly pipe cleaners to make round ornaments and stuck those on here and there. I also added a few glittery mini poinsetta ornaments.
Then I set it atop a old cookie tin and wrapped the tin with a crocheted scarf and pinned the end of the scarf down. I put little min presents on top of the cookie tin and used the whole set up as a fun centerpiece!
