This is a great way to personalize and add character to a room in your home. It only takes a few minutes, costs very little, and is so very easy to do.
Watch our video for detailed instructions on covering your choice of furnishings with wallpaper. It's a quick and fun project, and it makes all the difference in a room!
We started with a plain Ikea dresser, but you may have a different piece of furniture you would like to cover. Peel and stick wallpaper makes this simple, but you could use contact paper for a more budget-friendly option.
Measure out the wallpaper, keeping in mind that you will need to match any patterns in the print for the best visual appeal.
Gently begin to peel off the backing as you work downward, and then smooth the surface with a rubberized presser.
Because of the gap between the drawers, I cut each section as I went and then lined up the next section of wallpaper.
Once you get the wallpaper secured and smoothed, it's time to reinstall the hardware. Mark the holes where you hardware will go. You may want to change up the knobs to add some interest.
All done! So, so cute for a girl's room or a guest room. Let your imagination go wild!
