No answer, however, I had the same problem. Repositioned, trimmed, even purchased another package hoping it would fit. Finally had to reinstall the old stuff again :(

Can you sand the edge of the door some? Just a thought. I'm not real sure what it looks like.
HI Evelyn. I had the same problem. I purchased cold air door stoppers, and they help.
I had the same problem, I am a senior & asked the apt.maintenance & they said the same thing. I didn't give up (stubborn) I bought DUCK weather strip seal, #1small gap seal. (7.95 Walmart) It is really spungy. Put it from the top down to within a 4 inches from the lock, press it on really hard & then went below where the door latch goes into the wall about 4-5 inches & started again. If you have those little things on the door jam to stop noise don't put over top of them cut a small piece out. Continue all the way to bottom. Couldn't put on the other side but it wasn't the bad part anyway. Doesn't stop all drafts because of the openings but what a difference it made. Sometimes you had to at first give an extra little push to get the lock to click (listen for it) but after a few times it works beautifully. Sorry so long but I'm 76 & old school. Never give up! lol. Good Luck
What you need is door weatherstripping that mounts on the outside door frame. The rubber contacts the door when it's closed.

Hi Evelyn. Weather strips should be on the door frame not the door itself.
Hi Evelyn, here is our tutorial to add weatherstripping to your doors and windows. Hopefully, it will answer some of your questions.

There are strips you can get that are open and you can put the size you need inside. My ground shifts so I also have made tubes filled with plastic walmart bags and put in the crevices. Need it fast. Use the bags with a casekni
