What is the best way to organize a closet 24” deep & 90” across?

This is my teenage son’s bedroom closet, it has a top shelf & another halfway down both are all the way across with a doorway opening of only 50”
Am I correct that the implied issue is doors that won't close because things are hanging on the doors? Seems an obvious fix. Otherwise I'm not seeing a problem. Looking forward to seeing the other answers here.

Organize a Small Closet for Under $50
The closet looks like it has enough room. Just organize the clothes, maybe hang all pants and jackets on the left. On the right, hang short sleeves then long sleeves (light to dark). All shorts on bottom rack. There is room for shoes at the bottom. I can't see on the left door but maybe move hat rack there so you can close the door.
Go to Walmart and buy a closet organizer.
Purge. Whatever you have not worn in the last 6 months.
it looks pretty good to me. Still hanging room and hats organized. 50" opening is very generous.

Like the ideas above. Also, moving the caps outside the closet would probably help; I think you can buy some sort of cap rack to mount on the wall.
