We did our Christmas tree in all seashells this year. We took our first trip down to Florida and spent many days at the beach - the kids couldn't get enough of hunting for seashells and shark teeth!

If you want to see our completed tree, head on over to CrazyDiyMom.

We brought all of our shells home, cleaned them up and turned them into ornaments just by adding a little twine to them.

But I the tree needed some other ornaments to break up the seashell commotion and these little guys were perfect!
I headed to our local dollar store and picked up everything there - a pack of ornaments and some twine.
I started at the top of my ornament because it gave me a spot to hold on to. Add a bit of hot glue right at the top of your ornament and get your twine attached. Then I added a bit of glue around the top half of the ornament and worked my way around sticking the twine onto the glue. Work your way all around the ornament until you have it completely covered.
When you get your ornament all covered, all you need to do is add a way to hang it. I again, cut a piece of twine and wrapped it through the opening and tied it in a knot. This way you can adjust how long you want your ornaments to hang down depending on your tree branches.
Then they are ready to hang up! A cheap and easy way to give a beachy or a more farmhouse look to your tree this year.
