This video sounds and looks like it's from the 1950's so it's cute to watch but there are a lot of ideas here. The best one, in my opinion is near the end. Spray lemon water on the tree. Dogs & cats don't like the smell.

We used to put our tree inside a play pen to keep all 3 of the kids and 2 dogs out of it. It worked great!

My sister put a little fence around her tree to keep chihuahuas from "opening" the presents. It's really cute and corrals the gifts as well. The fence is only about 18" tall and is painted white.

Our living room is not real big. We have to move furniture in order to fit it in by the bay window. We move the love seat so that is now perpendicular to the wall and turn the end table so that it is going in the right direction next to the love seat. We put the coffee table the same way it was, but push it out a little so that it isn't too close to the tree. The other end table blocks the other side, and that makes an almost complete enclosure around the tree with the wall and bay window at the back. Works real well for us with four dogs and a cat. So far so good. Haven't had a pet do anything to a tree in years.

  • I have 6 cats and 6 dogs, all know the tree is off limits. Cats push the faux wrapped gifts around under the tree and build themselves forts to nap in. The bottom portion of the tree has non breakable ornaments in the "tail zone" - if you freak out so will the dog. I just trained them all and it was pretty simple.

Try wrapping large size boxes creating a barrier around your tree and be sure to add bricks to keep them weighted down to prevent the dog from knocking them over and this will also create a beautiful prop of gifts when visitors come. Here‘s A few picture ideas📌🎄

There are little fences you can use. Put the tree in a playpen. Raise the tree on a table. Use a spray like bitter lemon that dogs don't like.....

Hi! Pups, especially big ones are a challenge. My daughter puts a fence around hers, that can be used to pen the dog. It works! Good luck!
