I used some old wood, acrylic paint and polyurethane. Sponge for the marble effect. Looks pretty cool. Been in my bathroom for 6 months now, no problems. I cut my own wood, installed the sink and I also made the bottom vanity out of reclaimed wood.
I cut a circle in the wood first and then I sanded the wood, and painted it in a marble effect.
