I would read as many as possible then go to youtube.com and search ' how to install solar power systems ' and watch as many videos as you can until you have read and heard all of the instructions as well as glean all of the tips shared by others. I just had another thought. Is there a local company in your area? After you've learned as much as you can online, perhaps you could go there and see if they have an apprentice program. If they don't, maybe you could persuade them to start one. :)
Google! Also check out all solar options offered in your area, not all systems are the same. Also check with your local power company for rebates if installing a solar system. Some municipalities allow you to go completely off grid, others do not, so check that out too. There are hundreds of You Tube tutorials if you want to build your own system from scratch too. It is a lot to learn, but you can do it. My ex hubby has taken a number of classes through his employment and we have been using solar to run the rv for over 25 years. Where we live we can't go off grid completely, but when we move, we hope to do so. There are classes popping up all over the country, Google to see what might be available in your area. Here are a few that pop up on my feed.
Each system will have it's own peculiarities as to installation... research, research, research... and make sure that you check your roof... it needs to have a strong enough structure to handle the extra weight.
Thank you so much for your answer. We are probably not going to use our roof (we are building a dome home, no roof), but rather have a free standing system that allowed us to adjust to the sun’s position. We are considering incorporating into our fencing.
