we get it at Menards, like Home Depot or Lowes. Menards will ship it. we do put two lines where it drifts deep so one can be placed close to the driveway and another about 15-20 out further. The fencing can be rolled up for storage, it is heavy duty plastic and comes in a roll..usually bright orange. Good Luck!
Snow fence doesn't actually stop the snow, rather it directs the snow where to drift. Snow fence needs to be placed on the upwind side of the driveway at least 40 feet from the driveway. You may find other recommendations for distance but none will be less than 40'. To support the snow fence something heavy-duty like t-posts will be required because during a snow storm there will be a lot of stress on the fence.
wYou need to create a wind break along the sides where it drifts....you can purchase snow fencing from a farm supply store relatively cheaply to achieve this
