Found an old brass light fixture and turned it into a fun Christmas present for one of my besties!
I took out all of the guts from the lamp and the mounted plate on the back had holes for screws - waaaahlaaa instant drainage. I then put down a layer of pea size gravel then filled with moss, cactus & succulent soil.
I planted little succulents and a colorful cactus and then began to fill the 'windows' with miniature horses (my friend and I met riding our horses!). I also put into some minerals and semi precious stones like miniature cathedral amethyst and lapis luzi.
I glued down the little horse figurines on a small flat rock like shale to make them secure.
The lid to light fixture is wide enough to spritz with a little water bottle since succulents and cactus don't require much water!
