Any DIY's for beginners using power tools? From a female :)

Don't be afraid of the tool, and keep safety in mind. I love power tools! There are a few I am not quite comfortable with, like the circular saw that isn't attached to a table, and the sawzall, but otherwise I'm all in for using them!

I'm still learning new skills even after 55 years of DIY experience, and look up stuff on how to do new things on YouTube daily as for me a video is worth a thousand words on how to do stuff. I am never afraid to ask a guy friend to help me or show me how to do something. My fav new tool is impact drill, and fav old tool is my sawzaw.

Unfortunately I don't have any handy female friends in the tool department, I am their handy friend who fixes and installs their stuff. Just installed a new computer system for my 85 yo client.

Our Home Depot offers free classes in this sort of thing. Perhaps other stores do also. If I needed instruction, I'd speak with the store manager who might show you (& allow a little practice) for any tool you are purchasing. I am always amazed at how helpful male employees are in building supply/hardware stores & No, I'm not a babe - I'm a fat old lady!

Rember to use your ppe personal protective equipment...safety glasses when cutting boards, masks for insulation batts....and dust, cut resistant gloves, steel toe boots when appropriate.
