What would you say is the best chalk paint

I have used Waverly - available at Walmart on several pieces with no trouble. I like the fact that it's inexpensive, since many chalk paints can get quite pricey.

Please be aware, if you have deep scratches or dents or a peeling surface, no paint will cover that without many, many coats. Preparation for a job well done is always important.

Make your own: "Mix 1/3 cup of Plaster of Paris and 1/3 cup of cool water; stir until completely smooth. Mix that with 1 cup of latex paint and stir thoroughly.
