Can mod podged items be hand washed?

Hello Deanna! Yes, you can gently wash your Mod Podge items. if you don’t, they will collect dust like any other item in your house. As far as eating off of your Mod Podge plates, it is recommended that clear plates be purchased at your local dollar store and Mod Podge your design on the back of the plate. Then when you flip the plate over, you can see your Mid Podge design through the clear glass and it would be perfectly safe to eat off the plate.

Hi Deanna, yes you can hand wash mod podge items. Cured Mod Podge Resin is waterproof. It is also FDA certified food safe when properly mixed following the instructions provided with the product. Mod Podge Resin is heat resistant up to 110° F. If exposed to higher temperatures, a project may yellow.

I have but I would start with a damp microfiber cloth only. Make sure if you need to traditionally wash that it should be with a mild soap and cool water then dried immediately.

If you use Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge you can wash it.
