How to keep the porch dry from rain?

Every time it rains, my back porch gets soaked. Couch and chair cushions, area rug, dining table and chairs....
I would like any ideas on how to prevent this. "Drop cloth waterproof canvas curtains"?

What about installing a plexiglass roof or awning, so you still get the sunlight but keep the water off your furniture

I do have one clear awning over my cooking area (not sure if you can see it behind the hanging sign in the photo) on the porch, but the wind blows the rain in from the side, unfortunately.

Use a metal pipe to hang the curtians on, not a pvc one., not an indoor curtian rod metal is..much more sturdy. I have a pipe to hold my hanging planters, suspended it with bits of chain on a hook. A fabric store, not a department store ..should carry the out door awing fabric. It may have to be ordered from it’s manufacturner.

you may have to place an order thu a local fabric store, there should be catalogs of fabric samples To choose from.
