Great stuff
Modern homes don't have stucco/popcorn ceilings anymore, Sandra. If you're trying to get a property ready to sell, new sheetrock will do more than anything else to improve your home.

Replace popped nails with screws..
If we had the money to replace the ceiling, we would have the money to have it installed also. However that is not the case for us. We need an easy nice looking fix, that is affordable and easy for an older person to do. With that in mind, our ceilings run from the front door down the hall into kitchen, living room. From the front door up the steps and through the hall way, with no breaks in between. So there is no stopping point. Hope this makes sense. Thank you
If you watch any home improvement show, the very first thing they say is that the popcorn ceilings MUST be removed to update the home. If you watch realty hunt shows (House Hunters and such), popcorn ceilings can be a reason to turn the prospective home down. That's why I said if you were getting the home ready for sale to consider just re-covering your ceilings with drywall.
