Adding Height to a Table

I love my little farmhouse table - it's the most practical piece of furniture I own because it opens up ( flips actually ) to creating seating for 6 - but since it was to sit in the middle of the kitchen in this new house - I needed it to be counter height !

A quick trip to Home depot - and 4 of these solved the problem

We purchased 4 " sleeves " to put into the legs................and simply screwed the castors into place - allowing us to remove them if they're ever not needed

And voila - I have a counter type island - that we can sit around !

Just a side note - I don't want a repeat of this week's fiasco over me painting furniture - so I'll let you know that we bought this farm table from an Antique store - ALREADY painted..................lol -
Have a great day all

Great idea! I love things on wheels! I wish my kitchen was big enough to accommodate an island - the extra counter space would be useful and who doesn't need extra storage in a kitchen??? PS. I LOVE the painted look (especially in a kitchen). :)

@Simply Vintageous...by Suzan Change can be so hard sometimes!!! I'm STILL regretting selling my awesome condo back in 2004… been in 5 houses since then (in TWO different states) and I still miss it LOL! I do like your current home though! The photos are so pretty :)

@Simply Vintageous...by Suzan I'm kind of glad you moved into a fixer upper again, because if not, you may not have made this beautiful piece of furniture! Can't wait to see what else you do!
