How do I get rid of those nasty slugs?

They come onto the patio, into the dogs feed bowl and eventually some make it into the house. I put salt on them and it kills them instantly. That won't work outside, though due to the rain, etc.. As many as 15 to 20 make it onto the porch and 3 or 4 come in the house, in any room.

Elevate your dog’s bowl then place in baking pan with sides. Fill baking pan with Water. Keep patio and entryways as dry as possible.
Look at your home and garden centerfor granules you can sprinkle around the area. They're attracted to them and die. Or, bury a small vessel, like a clean tuna can, up to the rim, then fill it with beer. They crawl in & drown. Sounds like you'd need a lot of them. Start with the granules & see if that helps?
