I’m so excited to get to show you this latest DIY project of ours today! This faux stone veneer accent wall that we installed in our living room was a little different from a lot of our other home improvement projects because it was just so darn easy! As you saw a few weeks ago in an earlier blog post, I only started this wall very recently and it’s already completely finished.
I’ve even had time to update the decor in this area a bit and take some pretty pictures for you. ;)
In this pict
This is the before picture of our wall. It was ugly old paneling that we were able to easily update using a little bit of paint! (You can read about that right, here!)
The product I used for this faux stone veneer wall is called AirStone. AirStone is an innovative product that gives you the look and feel of stone, but weighs 75% less!
It’s installed really easily with a bucket of pre-mixed adhesive and a simple putty knife and all you need to cut it is a basic hack saw! The stone pieces all fit together really nicely and stack up really quickly, and before we knew it, we were done the whole wall!

I'd love to do something like this around my gas insert. Does it hold up to heat?

How come when I go to the link for the air stones all I get is either wallpaper or large piece of fake stones to put up. I can’t seem to find individual pieces like in the picture. Where do I get them?

I love your green Wedgewood vase. I have a plate and a bud vase in the same colour. We were very lucky to have Lord Wedgewood sign the bottom for us. It is a lovely soft colour.
