What can I use to organize fishing rods in the garage

I have at least 10 fishing rods I need to organize in my garage. They're laying up against a wall now, and fall down and get all caught up in each other. Also have lots of tackle that I could use a place to store. Perhaps in this same storage unit. I have long pole nets and short ones, and everything you can imagine fishing. One place to organize it all would be great.

Try putting them in an old golf bag. It has divided sections and you could paint the bag to match what ever you want.

I bet they would look great if you had enough width to display them individually. Would a metal screw on holder be narrow enough to hold the rod? I would suggest separating them for display.

Put Large Fish Hooks into the Ceiling to hold your Rods and Pole Nets. Use your Imagination and Make a Nice Pattern. Make sure to Clip or Sand down the Tips of the Hooks.

When we moved into this house three years ago, there was a DIY strip for poles up in the garage already. Some one took a plain old 1x2, cut slots big enough to put the rods in up to the top which is the narrowest and you just hang them by the top eye over the slot. We have some healthy sized rods, so we had to expand the size on a few, but it works really well. If you hang a large hook or nail near the rod holder, you can hang all your nets on that. Below that you could put a shelf to hold any tackle boxes, fish finders, etc.

Try some old golf bags. They have divided sections and you can use the ball compartments for tackle, hooks and things. You can find at yard sales or estate sales really cheap. You can spray paint them to match your garage or your favorite sport teams. Maybe put decals on the bags like large fish or lake scenes. Could be fun to do. I also like Freda's idea on the pool cue stand sounds really great too. These ideas would not include some long drawn out build and you would have easy access to them when you get ready to go fishing. Good luck. (I love fishing)

cut lengths of pvc pipe and attach to studs with screws. (Have seen this idea elsewhere)

Buy a long length of wide PVC pipe and have it cut into 2 1/2 foot lengths. Band them together (like a honeycomb) and use it to house each fishing rod. They will stand up so they won't tangle.
