I bought two chandeliers at the end of a garage sale for $10 each. They both are the same except one is very large and one is small. I wanted to do a very warn copper looking chandelier for both by my front door and over my dining room table but I wanted to start with the small one first just in case. Well I have to say I'm extremely happy with the results and I'm ready to tackle the second Chandelier.
Here's the before of the chandelier as you can tell it's very Bland and an off-white yellow a color.
These are the Sea Spell seapaints I used for my project. I still have a ton left over for the bigger chandelier. A little bit of this paint goes a long way!
I took my mermaid brush and first went over the entire piece with a mermaid mint.
I then lightly went over the entire piece with sand dollar. You almost have to do a light dry brushing with it and not too heavy-handed.
I then took my Sun Glaze and did the same thing lightly going over the entire project and every nook and cranny.
The final step is when I took my Coastal coconut and again went lightly over the entire piece for the finishing touch.
I absolutely love the copper look that I achieved!!! I cannot wait to do my bigger Chandelier! This is definitely something I wanted to tackle for a while and I'm glad I took the plunge.
