turn faucet on low, apply heating pads on high, move as needed, this will not potentially cause a fire. When water begins to flow keep it running and continue moving the heating pad.

If they are freezing at night, you can place an unshaded lamp with a 60W conventional bulb near the pipes. if they run thru a cabinet leave the doors open at night.

My friend uses heat tape on some exposed pipes. She claimed it worked quite well, until her pipes froze, then burst. She didn’t know they only worked for less than 5 years. Just find out how long they’re good for, them replace as needed. They sell foam insulation for pipes. I have them down my cellar. They are black styrofoam with a slit down the middle. You just open up the slit and wrap it around the pipe. It does not get stretched out when you open it to wrap it around the pipes. And it can be cut very easily. I wouldn’t use them for any existing exposed pipes. Good luck !

I don't have frozen pipes, I just have a frozen sewer line in one bathroom. I live in a mobile home and this happens when it gets really cold. I do open all the doors under the cabinets and leave the heat up which I hate. I do have hot water which I can't figure out not complaining but.I guess my heat tape still is working. .Thank god I have two bathrooms. .Its just a pain. .

look on the internet for solutions its what I did yesterday nothing lost. .Good Luck
