Wilted Succulents

My succulents got snowed on and they are wilted, discolored and limp. Will they dry out and return to normal or are the dead?

are they hardy succulents for you location which you did not specify

What is your elevation there in CO? Do you usually get that much snow?

  We are in the city at 5280 feet. Succulents are planted on my front porch in pots.

  Oh, over 5000 ft is more than high enough for all winter snow, and not a natural climate zone for succulents. But as they were not planted directly in the ground, there is still a chance that they might live. I would take them inside, not water them, but just let them dry out. The hot air indoors, especially if you have forced air heating might present too much of a shock to the plants, but at this point there is not much to lose in just watching them to see if they will regenerate.

Brush the snow off, bring inside, even a garage will do, and see what happens. Even if the niblets fall off, the roots are still alive and will rebound once they warm up. Mine have gone through cold snaps and rebounded. My girlfriends in snowy places have successfully had them come back too.

Thank you so very much. Should I proactively take pieces off in the spring when it warms up or let them fall off?

  I just let them fall off naturally, so do my girlfriends - unless brown, shriveled and completely wilted. The roots are probably still alive.
