If you're using a pole there are pole mounted baffles to use with other feeder options. Additionally Duncraft has nice sturdy feeders some hold a lot of seed that makes refilling less frequent.

I know seed gets expensive and it's so annoying to see the skurrels hogging the feeders. I use cayenne pepper in the seed mix...absolutely begine to the birds, and the skurrels HATE IT !

We greased our pole. It is funny to watch the squirell slide down. You must do this every so often. He used aheavy duty car grease.

If you can't find one, try putting a layer of Vaseline on the feeder. The squirrels fall right off. It doesn't affect the birds.
