Can you stain tile flooring?

My kitchen tile floors have some sort of discoloration on some tiles that cause the tiles to always look dirty. Is there a way to stain all the tiles making the discolored tiles less visible?

You don't mention if this is vinyl or ceramic tile but I will assume vinyl. It will not take stain well, but you can paint it or replace it.
Strip your tiles instead and reseal:

Use "clr" stain remover. It's the best stuff ever. It worked for me!
YES! It works great. You just have to let it sit in there many hours. ( (5-10 ) You will love this stuff. I used it to take off rust stains on my ceramic floor that had been there for over 10 years and WHA-LA!

I shall try it and see what i get. Thus far I have tried acetone, paint thinner, and bleach and all with NO luck!
