Not familiar with your grow zone, but things that are heat, drought and sun tolerant unless you can provide some shade during the middle of the day

As far as I’m concerned, geraniums are the best container plant. Impossible to kill and you can clone them by just pressing a piece of stem and sticking it in planter mix. Economical, colorful, and easy.

You can grow just about anything in our Mediterranean climate! Dwarf Citrus, Vegetables (like a Salsa Garden), Herbs, all work on a East or Southern exposure. A northern exposure makes a great home for shade lovers like ferns, fuschia, camellias, etc.

A western exposure can grow flowers and food but needs a shade cloth.

    😊

Could try herbs or tomatoes, or a small Lemon or other fruit tree then you can eat the results!

Take a look what neighbours are growing then you can see what will grow! Use different level same shade pots in and different colours start with small plants ask for advise at local greenhouses/garden centres
