These are great for adding a little light where needed! Allison Murray of Dream a Little Bigger created this craft for Aleene's using just 3 supplies! Dollar store gems, mason jars and Aleene's Glass and Bead Adhesive!
Add the Glass and Bead Adhesive to the back of the gem, then place on the jar. Unlike a hot glue, this adhesive is PERMANENT. No need to worry if the gems will fall off.
Masking tape keeps the gems in place as they dry.
Allow the adhesive to cure for about a day. Then add solar powered lids to the jars.
These can be put out on a porch or along a walk-way. They can even be used inside! You know you hate running into things when you get up for that night snack. Make a luminary to light the way!

You can find them on ebay - they are much cheaper there than at any of the other hobby stores, etc.

I made two jars today and this answer my questions as the gems rolled all over the floor .I also find that glue hard to work with.

I would use hot glue as well as E6000, or the dollar store glue. The hot glue helps it to adhere instantly put you still need to wait the 24 hours for the permanent glue to dry.

I also would like to know where you purchased the solar powered lids?
