Cork board and plastic headed tacks or sturdy puns with the colored balls on the end to hold them. You could layer the boards and put in a drawer. Another is to use the bottom of egg cartons and put a few pair in each that are similar in color or decoration to make it easy to find. If you take the top of the egg carton off, you can stack more than one inside each other and not take up much room. At craft stores you can find containers that have small dividers that you put in the boxes and put them in these little cubby holes. That is what I did with the bracelets that I make, and all the beads I use to make them.

there are plastic sheets with holes used for crafts..plastic canvise work. I’ve seen the canvas mounted in a backless frame...and earrings added. Looked really cool.

I know it is too late now, but I save the cards the earrings come on, and keep them on the cards. Not necessarily the one that that pair came on. I then put them in bags according to color.

I bought a sheet (12x12") of stiff plastic screen and plug them into that. Then I hang it on a skirt hangar. I can keep it whole or cut into separate 2" sections (as if I were giving gifts) - from HobbyLobby or Michaels in the needlework section

If anyone has the inside from a divided box of chocolates, place in a drawyer - that works great at organizing small items.

I bought a small cabinet at the hardware store that is meant to hold screws, nuts and bolts. It's grey plastic with little see thrue drawers. I put my gold earrings in one, silver in another,Christmas, Halloween and holiday in another. Each little drawer has a different color or style. Some of the larger drawers have q tips, lipstick and other assorted makeup. It fits right along the side of the bathroom sink vanity.

Dollar Tree sells various hangers made for that for $1.

Take pliers and rotate the head of a couple, so they can hang tiered off each other, vertically.

Spray paint different colors to help with organizing by style.

Make a display by covering a polystyrene tile or board with a fabric that you could push your earrings through or just paint the polystyrene with something like Emulsion paint. Lace would look good too. Add a frame or a hook to the back or use an old picture/photo frame.
