How to Repair a Broken Dresser Drawer Pull

It goes without saying that things just aren't made to last these days. When the drawer pulls on my bedroom dressers began to break, I wondered how I could fix them without spending a lot of time, effort and money.
If you have the type of hardware on your dresser that has a flat back plate with a swinging handle that has broken, you can make an attractive replacement. Here's how.
Here's what the drawer pull looked like before the handle broke.
Here's what I was left with after the handle broke. Naturally, his happened to the drawer pulls that were yanked on the most.
You will need two large beads and a roll of medium weight floral wire. I
You will also need a pair of needle nose pliers to cut the floral wire. I started with a seven-inch length of wire to repair one drawer pull.
Thread the two large beads onto the length of cut floral wire.
Thread the ends of the floral wire through the holes left by the broken handle.
Shape the new handle into a semi-circle that lays against the back plate where the old handle did. You may need to trim a bit of wire from either end of the wire, leaving just enough to bend under and in toward the back plate.
I love how my new dresser pulls look and they have worked great for a long time. Casual observers don't even notice that some of my dresser drawer pulls aren't the originals.
